How to say you like someone's new hairdo!
Say: "I really like your new highlights, they are even better than your previous ones!"
DO NOT SAY: " I never liked your previous highlights but didn't say anything. This one's much better!"
... that's just wrong!

and why is that so!!?? I mean hey it implies also that I don wish to hurt yr feelings and respect yr decisions at the same time. Doesn' it?

Hmmmm, not really! I think it means: "all the time I said your hair looked ok, I didn't really mean it"... but well, I guess it does mean that they do not want to hurt your feelings.
