CD shopping

This whole week, I was looking for Alizadeh's new album (Ode to flowers) to buy. The only website that had it for sale was this CD Baby (i know!) website. Obviously , it was not very cheap and the shipping cost was ridiculous (I needed the fast shipping)... but well, I had no other choice so I bought it while cursing them non-stop. They sent me an email today that totally made up for their price and terrible use of colors in their website:

"...Your CD has been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.

A team of 50 employees inspected your CD and polished it to make sure it was in the best possible condition before mailing.

Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over the crowd as he put your CD into the finest gold-lined box that money can buy.

We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of Portland waved "Bon Voyage!" to your package, on its way to you, in our private CD Baby jet on this day, Friday, May 25th.

I hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. We sure did. Your picture is on our wall as "Customer of the Year." We're all exhausted but can't wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Sigh...

This is probably what you're thinking:

"I have been busy with work and women, i just didn't have the time to call her. Surely she'll understand."

Well, just so you know: I won't.

I really thought it was supposed to be summer!

But looks like Vancouver is on a different weather schedule or something. Anyway, in these rainy days, this music manages to make me feel better, as always:

If I was a super hero

... my super power would be sending emails, like, indefinitely! It has been shown that I can spent a few workdays in a row just sending emails. Not sure if it would be a helpful power to save the world or anything, though!

Industrial tour?! ... yeah, right!

I don't exactly call a trip to Okanagan valley an industrial tour, especially when it includes staying in a super luxurious hotel, shopping and a winery tour. But well, when it's all paid for, who am I to judge, eh?!
I kind of wish though, that I had not agreed to go jump in the lake after the dark with a few other people - including professors and such. Don't think the pictures are gonna be exactly pretty!

When i grow up...

I'm going to have a job that allows me to travel, A LOT. I'll have time to watch movies all the time, and read books that people recommend, and will never have to work on weekends. I'll have 4 weeks of paid vacation, and as many sick days as I like.

I will meet this guy who's kind, and understanding, and funny, and into movies, and maybe even books. He'll drive when I drink, will carry my shopping bags, will be a feminist, will listen to the songs I pick, will laugh at my jokes, will share his thoughts with me, will talk to me, and won't expect me to talk back all the time. He won't think it's funny that I'm into TV, and won't get annoyed when I photograph him all the time. He'll be in love with me.

I will have a kid, a girl. She'll be nerdy and a bookworm, will wear glasses, and won't talk much. She'll be smart, with curly hair. She'll grow up to be much better than me. She'll love me anyway.

I will live in a crowded city, with my friends living close by. I will take the subway home, while listening to my ipod and watching people. My city will have all four seasons, a little bit more fall than winter though.

I will be everything I've always wanted to be, I'll be happy.

I can't wait to grow up.
